Jog 4 Jugs
In the hopes of making some great improvements for 2018, we will not be holding Jog for Jugs in 2017. We plan to come back next year with a bigger, better race. We may hold a Jog for Jugs group run in May. Thank you for all your support! If you have questions please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
The 5K course is an out and back with a moderate gradual incline after the turn around point. There will be an aid station at the turn around point.
The half marathon is a scenic, but challenging course. This course is a great way to get ready for some of the more flat courses in the area. There will be aid stations approximately every 2 miles and 1 porta-potty on the course which you pass twice. All half marathon entrants registered by April 20 will receive a dry fit shirt!
Sorry, dogs are not permitted on the race course.
AS USUAL, WE WILL HAVE ALABANY RUNNING EXCHANGE TIMING THE RACE WITH GREAT MUSIC AND ANNOUNCING COVERING THE FINISH LINE AS WELL AS OUR TRADITIONAL PIZZA, HOT DOGS, HAMBURGERS, AND FRUIT AFTER THE RACE IS OVER. AGAIN THE 2 MAIN ROADS WE USE (SCHOHARIE TNPK AND CHADWICK RD) WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC.

Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females as well as the top 3 breast cancer survivors. Age group awards will be given in 10 year incriments.
Following the race there will be plenty of music and food for the whole family!
Jog for Jugs is organized by Project HEAL to raise money for local breast cancer survivors. Many of us have a family member, close friend or co-worker who has been affected by this awful disease. Our goal is to raise money to aid local families in their fight against breast cancer.
If for some reason you have registered and cannot participate in Jog for Jugs, unfortunately no refunds or transfers are given. The Race Director reserves the right to cancel due to extreme weather conditions out of our control for the safety of the runners and volunteers. Also, if you have registered by April 20 and still want your shirt you must come or send someone to packet pick up. No shirts will be saved or mailed.
This race will be held rain or shine so please be prepared. In the event of extreme weather conditions, a decision will be made on site to proceed or not.
Project HEAL (Healthy Educated Active Lifestyles) is a non profit organized to help the community stay healthy and active. Currently, we organize Jog for Jugs as well as Team Power House, which consists of 5-6 AAU youth basketball teams who compete all over New York and surrounding states in basketball games and tournaments. For more information on Project HEAL email Jessica@powerhouseathleticsny.com.

Power House Athletics would like to thank everyone who came out today in the blazing heat to run, volunteer or watch our first event. We realize that the heat did make it difficult on our runners, especially the half marathoners and we thank you for sticking it out! We welcome any feedback you have to offer, both positive and not-so-positive as this is how we will be able to make this event better and better every year. We are already thinking of improvements for next year including porta-potties at the start, more aid stations, and possibly a couple of road closures. Sorry, we can’t move the hills, but think of how much stronger you are now!! For those of you who ran your first half marathon no one can say you did an easy one!! Boast about your accomplishment of this race with pride…..it’s not an easy course! Again, please feel free to email me with ANY and all feedback you have to offer. Lastly, if anyone has any pictures of the race I would love to see them. Please email them to me!
